child immuniseChildren Clinic
Held on Thursday mornings between 9am-11.30am by the health visitor. A doctor is usually available to perform the 6 week baby development check. All the doctors are on child health surveillance list. You are welcome to bring your child along just to be weighed or to seek help or advice for any problem.

Children’s Immunisations
It is very important that your child receives the following course of immunisations:

  • Two months - 1st Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping cough,) Polio, Hib, and Haemophilus influenzea type b (Hib) Pneumococcal infection 
  • Three months - 2nd Diphtheria, Tetanus,Pertussis,polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), Meningitis C (meningococcal group C
  • Four months - 3rd Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)
  • Around 12 months- Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib) and meningitis C
  • Around 13 months- measles, mumps and rubella ( German measles) Pneumococcal infection 
  • Three years four months to five years old - Diphtheria,Tetanus, Pertussis and Polip, Measles, Mumps and Rubella
  • Thirteen to eighteen years old- Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio 

Meningitis C
Is available for children and young adults up to 25 years of age

immunisePhlebotomy Clinic
Available every Tuesday on premises 9-11.15am for all routine blood test.

Hypertensive Clinic
Every Wednesday 2.30 -6.30 pm and Friday 8.30am till midday Blood pressure taken and lifestyle advice given by Health Care Assistant.

Maternity Care
Available 9.00-11.15 am. The midwife runs an antenatal clinic by appointment. She also does home visits during and after the pregnancy . A doctor is also available for urgent problems. Ante-natal and post –natal examinations by doctor are arranged during normal surgery on Thursdays.

Minor Surgery
Minor operations are arranged at the surgery on the last Wednesday of the month in the evenings or are referred to hospital as appropriate.

Influenza Vaccine
We offer free flu vaccine to all our patients over 65 years or at risk form the effects of flu, and those who suffer from chronic heart disease, chronic respiratory disease, diabetes, chronic renal failure, vaccination will normally take place in October.

The surgery has an on-call service, If you need urgent attention you should call: 0115 9846767.

Home Visits
Home visits can be arranged for those patients too ill to attend the surgery. Please use the services thoughtfully, and ring as early as possible in the morning to request a visit.

Urgent Appointments
Urgent Appointments
If you require an appointment for a problem that you feel will not wait until the next available routine appointment, you will be given a time to attend- usually at the end of morning surgery or at the beginning of afternoon surgery.
